The most popular shoe styles for fall 2008 have one thing in common, we've seen them all before. Drawing from almost every decade, this fall's shoe trends are all vintage inspired, and you can snag a pair of originals if you know what to look for.

In either high heeled or flat versions, the Oxford shoe is where it's at this fall. The menswear classic fits in perfectly with the classic styles of fall.
Since oxford shoes have popped up in lots of shapes and sizes throughout the 1900s, it should be easy to find a vintage pair.
80s Ankle Booties
Slick, minimalist ankle boots or booties started creeping into the fashion mainstream last year, and people seem to really love them as an alternative to a pump. They can be dressed up or worn with jeans. Now any bootie goes, so keep an eye out for vintage versions of super pointy styles from the 80s and early 90s in fun colors and with unique details.
70s Fringe Boots
This fall you'll be finding fringe on a lot of things, especially boots. Long fringe, short fringe, tall boots, moccasins, flats; there will be fringe in abundance. If you're a fan of the gypsy/tribal trend this fall then you must have some sort of fringed item in your wardrobe.
Slouchy Boots

Short slouchy boots have became really popular in recent years since they go so well with skinny jeans. This fall is no exception and the craze continues. The style is turning from the more taller and more neutral brown and tan tones of the 70s slouch boot are fading out while more vibrant colored styles from the 80s that are shorter are more appropriate for fall 08.
