Lucky for you if you live in the Portland, Oregon area and are getting married this year, because if you do, the 2009 Vintage Bridal Show is happening this weekend! With a focus on sustainability and affordability (features not really emphasized in modern weddings) the Vintage Bridal Show will showcase beautiful gowns as well as ideas for an eco-conscience and affordable wedding.
This is such a great idea and it would be awesome if it caught on in other cities. Brides have so few options these days if they want to plan a wedding without being a part of the wedding machine. This event will help brides get what is most important out of their big day without the post wedding wallet hangover.
This free event is being held at the Overlook House in North Portland and is sponsored by local shops AlexSandra's Vintage Emporium and Ava Hansen Millinery. For more details visit http://alexsandras.com/.
